2008-up 4L60E is different from the 07-back, different electronics. So no a 2007 unit will not work in plce of a 2009 unit.
Wouldn't hurt to move it to the Auto Trans section since this is specific to that.

Actually its the 2009+ 4L60E/4L70E which is completely different electrically from earlier years. Post #6 in the following thread details how even all the connector pins changed in 2009: https://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic...e-pin-out.html
Of course that doesn't @the_merv conclusion that a 2007 and 2009 are not interchangeable.
However, I was wondering if maybe the OP wanted to modify a 2009 to be 2007 compatible or vise-versa. (Yes it can be done by swapping valve bodies, harness and a few other parts.)
