3” single exhaust LQ4/243/TN cam 6.0
Putting together a LQ4 right now for my 72 Jeepster Commando. Currently has a nice sbc in it but ready to play with the LS. Current exhaust set up.
Block Hugger headers
2.5” mandrel down pipes
3” Flowmaster Y pipe
3” Flowmaster Flow FX
With the 6.0 planning to add a 200 cell 3” cat and ditch the FlowFX for a Spintech 6000(prefer the sound).

On my 98 Wrangler with a LS6/4L60E combo I run 1.75" block huggers 2.5" outlets. Then because of the transfer case and front drive shaft I run the left around the front of the oil pan. Then Flowmaster 2.5" inlet to a 3" outlet merge. Then 3" to the largest DynaMax turbo muffler I could fit. Then 3" out the tail pipe. Mellow at idle but makes some noise when I accelerate.

Please look into an accusump or dry sump setup, the Ls oil system sucks and you will have oil starvation issues with such steep inclines and angles that you’ll be experiencing offroad. Single 3” will be fine but id run no cat and enjoy the extra 30-40hp and tq throughout the entire rpm range vs running a cat. You probably arent racking up a ton of miles anyways.

That Holley pan with the trap door wont even be enough. I run an improved racing baffle in my fbody pan and it helps but is not perfect. The accusump will store oil and release it when it senses low pressure but even that will eventually run out and your pressure will drop. A dry sump is expensive but would be a worthwhile investment on something like this and your engine will last forever.

My Wrangler is truly a mall crawler. I bought it as theft recovery. No option 4 cylinder/5 speed combo but zero rust. Crazy slow. So I started picking at it and soon the body was off the frame. Powder coat frame. Complete new paint job.
Has been a great project. It's my summer time running errands around town and winter snow plow. Nice to plow snow with a radio, heat and hot cup of coffee.
Some ask why I don't drive it in the winter. First Wranglers in the snow belt are total rust buckets. Whole frame sections have been known to rust away.
Second I went from 140 hp (maybe) to over 400 hp. I can tell you the Wrangler in 2wd on snow and ice will come around you so fast it will make head spin.
I've got 15 years on the swap and its been bullet proof.
Few more pics.

Sound clips would be helpful.
Looking for a toy, wife likes the jeep idea....and IF I happen to LS swap it .. LOL, I'd be OK with it.
Daughter had one, and every chance I got I drove it...

The Wrangler is sitting in the shop with the plow on pouting because we've had maybe 4 inches of snow this year. Currently no snow. I mean zero snow.
If you consider a LS swap into a Wrangler there are a number of swap parts out their. Holley builds a complete kit. My swap was before they came out with their conversion parts. So a good amount of fab on my part but that's what I enjoy.
My 98 has a stock ECM from the 98. It controls everything but the engine and trans. The LS ECM controls the engine and trans. The Wrangler doesn't have a clue what engine/trans is in the Jeep. After 06 the electronics changed and became more complicated.
