Default Ls6 throttle body plug question

I have an LS6 with an eBay harness. It doesn't have a plug that goes to the IAC (2). It's a DBW throttle body, does harness 1 control the IAC, and plug 2 only used in DBC?
I have the factory harness and didn't see the plug for 2 on there either.

Only DBC TB's use an IAC. DBW does not, as they control idle, etc. by strictly doing throttle blade movement

Can I remove that portion (iac) on the right side and cover it with a blockoff? I don't see the need to keep something that isn't used for anything

Good question. I'm trying to figure out why a DBW TB even has an IAC provision.

#2 isn't an IACV, that's the motor for the TB. If you don't have that connected, then that TB isn't going to move.

Here's an old picture from back when my CTS-V's LS6 still had the stock intake and TB:

You can see that there are plugs connected to both sides of the TB. When I later changed to a FAST IM and LS2 90mm TB, I had to use an adapter harness to convert to just the single connection that the LS2 TB has.

Any chance you have a link to your adapter? or a closer picture of the plug? I have the factory harness for the engine and didn't see a plug that matches it. Thank you for your input btw.

Plug #1 looks like the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor). Plug #2 is, as mentioned, your DBW motor.

I don't believe this is the exact one that I used (I can't remember where I got mine), but it's a good example with pics of the 3 harness connectors - https://www.racetronix.biz/p/ls2-thr...rness/ls2-tbah. The fat 6-pin connector (2x3) is what plugs into the LS2 type TB. The smaller 1x2 connector and the flat 1x6 connector are the ones that connected to the engine harness, so those would've been what normally plugged into the LS6 TB.
