Seems pretty excessive to move an engine/transmission assembly to make a return nipple clear. I'm hoping to find a steering box I can grind down to check to see what's under the rib. Just do not want to experiment on my quick ratio low mileage box. I threw out a spare a couple years ago.
Various other PS reservoirs are available. Google "corvette 2000 power steering reservoir" to see some good examples. The LS1 Corvette hangs it in front of the serpentine belt using a bracket. This is how I do it. Hmmm, you might need a different PS pump then too.
Original turbo Buicks used a fender mtd reservoir.
That "****" is as best I recall not in the fluid area. My last T Type conversion had that milled down without leaks.
I was attempting to do the remote reservoir but I don't see any way to reliably get a connection to stay in the shallow opening. Anybody have a G body steering box we can grind a rib down on? I will pay you.
Did your pump not come with the factory nipple? Or would it point the wrong way?
In one swap I threaded the inlet for a fitting. In another thread I bought a custom PS pump which came threaded for an AN-8 (or was it AN-10) fitting.
