Arrow SSR LS2 swap

I've got a 2006 LS2 from an SSR (E40 ECM + TCM) and am trying to find a swap harness solution (not interested in thinning the original harness). None of the usual culprits for harnesses offer a solution that will deal with the SSR's unique DBW pedal. Pretty much all of them use the Corvette pedal which must have a different connector and/or pinout. This might be trivial, but you know how these things can grow into sores. Here are my options, curious if anyone else has been down this road of incompatible DBW pedals:
1. use a PSI harness with the Corvette DBW interface. Sort out the differences between the Corvette and SSR pedal pinouts and repin the connector or change it if it's different. This may require adjustment of the DBW voltages with HP tuner, but its hard for me to believe the pots in these things are different at all.
2. use a PSI harness with the Corvette DBW interface. Purchase the Corvette pedal (+$149). Likely requires adjustment of DBW voltages with HP Tuner.
3. punt on the factory ECM/TCM for Holley Terminator. Configured with all the bells and whistles and the corvette pedal, the PSI harness and HP Tuner will push $1500. Could probably be into a Terminator solution for near 2k. Tune won't be as good as factory ECM initially but is more flexible. I have some exp with Terminator already but not with transmission tuning. If any of you have been down this road using Terminator on an LS, please chime in.
Thanks!

Just a suggestion, but I'd convert to a more common ECM over the E40. It's got several nuances specific to that ECM and is pretty uncommon
Rolling back to a more common 0411 PCM or switching to a Holley would simplify things

Both 0411 and Holley are happy with DBW or DBC. 0411 having a somewhat more restrictive pedal/TB combo. Both have many harness options
You will have to convert the GEN IV knock sensors to GEN III if using an early ECM. Holley doesn't care which you use if any

Holley will also never throw a dangerous P2138 and slam into limp mode on the highway, so that's a major point in my book. Stock ECMs can and the tendency is greater when using non-original pedal/TB combos

Thanks Pocket. Yeah it's looking like the Holley route might be the path to take here. Holley needs the Corvette pedal too but at least there should not be compatibility issues setting it up. Geez, why did GM make such a simple interface have so many variations? I would have thought GM would have standardized something like this at least electrically so that all DBW pedals have the same voltage/position characteristic. Maybe they do, but they seem to have changed the electrical interface to discourage ppl messing with safety critical components.

Early 90's-06 GEN III DBW is kind of the wild west. Pedals, TB, TAC modules must be matched and there isn't that much info on them. GEN IV semi standardized. They're largely the same sensor, just mounted differently and angled for various applications. If you consider C6 corvette pedals as the base, then most other +08 GM pedals can be used by swapping 2 pins

C6 corvette
2010+ camaro
Trailblazer
08ish Impala/monte carlo
+08 LS truck

All operate on the same basic principle. A basic "TPS" style sensor measures pedal position along with a second mounted in reverse as control. 0-100% and 100-0% setup

I use alot of trailblazer pedals in swaps. To use on holley, simply swap pins A&C. If considering a different pedal, always reference the C6 as a base and see how the pinouts compare. Some are the same, some require two pins swapped

Corvette

Trailblazer
https://charm.li/Chevrolet/2009/Trai...tion%20Sensor/

If you want to get really crafty and use a stock old school pedal with a few mods, then use a trailblazer sensor for adjustable pedals. Weld a flat mount plate near it's pivot and attach the sensor
DORMAN 699139

Or skip all that with DBC

Yep, agreed. Those charm.li links are gold, thanks for that. Using that site, the SSR pedal and the Corvette pedal have the same pinouts, but the connector bodies are slightly different. The SSR one is weatherproof, the Corvette one not. It would not surprise me if one fit on the other's mate, but barring that, I could just swap the connector intended for a Corvette pedal with the one intended for the SSR if I wanted to go the factory ECM route. This method would avoid any recalibrations for voltage/throttle position. Still diggin' the Holley route though.

from first hand experience, skip trying to use the stock e40 ecm and components. Either use holley or if want to keep it gm use a 411 computer and stand alone.

I've used a gen 3 truck pedal and one from an impala ss with holley also...i think any of them will work with it as long as the pinout is correct

I ran the E40 with a 2006 SSR calibration with my Fiero swap. I tried the Impala SS pedal with the SSR calibration, but it was a no-go. Once I purchased the right pedal, then I notice what was happening with the TPS voltages with the SSR pedal, the two TPS voltages went the same direction, not opposite.

I had previously used a E67 with the Impala SS pedal and those indeed went the opposite direction, but not with an equal scale.

Swapping 5v and low ref pin locations will reverse a TPS range. If you didn't swap the pins, it would reverse the range on either the main sensor or the control

I have not seen an unequal scale on any I tested

I did look up the E40 SSR pedal pinout vs the E67 Imp SS. Pins and functions are identical. Maybe another oddity in the E40 programming that they're not compatible

This is the kind of scenario I want to avoid. Do your best to duplicate what the ECM wants and get hung up because of unknown software checks. I appreciate the input, I am steering away from E40 and pedal confusion.

When everything worked with the E40, 2006 SSR calibration, SSR pedal, and wired per the 2006 SSR service manual, the TPS ranges were in the same direction on the scanner, not opposite. They were opposite with the LS4 Impala pedal, but setting DTCs.

I didn't dig too far into it, but the E40 with the LS4 calibration uses the same pedal as the E67 LS4, so I suspect it is something in the 2006 SSR calibration.
