Default ^.0 or LS1 into 97 Z28 6 speed (is it worth it)

plain and simple will it be worth the headache to even attempt this. I mean will my power gains be enough to justify the swap i was thinking of the 6.0 liter and boring .040 and stroking it to a 423 if the block can take that. If not then I have an LS1 block that I will Darton sleeve and go that way if it is worth it. Let me know what you fellas think or have dealt with.

Looking for large numbers 475-550 on motor at the rear wheels plus a 200 shot of the good stuff.

do you think it would be wise to just stay LT1 stroked 396. I have heard i can make as much power with the LT1 as I can with the 6 liter. these are just a few questions i have?

I think it would be cheaper to stay LT1 in terms of not having to get a real expensive block and so on. As you know the LT1 is very similar to a SBC and alot of the parts will crossover. Stroke the LT1 and go with that.

i'd trash the opti and get the coil packs if your budget will allow it. that's the main drawback of LT1's IMO

yeah, i am still torn in the idea, still doing some research. I think the LS1 stuff will be more readily advanced in comparison with the LT1 and even though the LS2 is coming I don't think LS1 stuff will die off.
