87 RX7 Update Just wanted to give you guys a little update. I got the car running in time to take it to the Chicago Super Chevy Show. You should have seen the looks on peoples faces. I was there only on Friday and was able to make 4 passes. All the runs were made on Sumimoto 205/55/16 radial tires. The track scales read 3175 with my 250 pound *** driving. I discovered that I have no 5th or 6th gears, so I was going through the traps in 4th gear banging against the rev limiter. The best pass of the day was 12.30@115mph with a 2.031 60 foot time.

Unfortunately, they dont make higher gears for RX7 diffs 
rotaries need to spin it up above 6000 to make power, so 3.9s are the highest you can get in a RX.
Ill be shifting into 5th as well to get 120 mph traps.
Andrew, good shakedown times (well mph at least) Cant wait to have mine on the road.

You are hauling some butt!!
The only gears offered for FC's and FD's were 3:90's and 4:10's from the factory. Next option is to go deeper gears which is in the wrong direction.
Rotaries need torque multiplication so most put in crazy 4:30+ etc gears...
