Motor is in - 93RX7/LS1
Got alot done this weekend and last-
cleaned motor
broke down motor
new plugs (TR-6s for the sauce)
new ram clutch
new motor mounts (polyurethane)
cobra shift lever and ****
prepped engine bay (pressure washed & polished with aircraft polish)
dropped in motor.
So I now have the motor and tranny physically in the car, I need to pay $20 to have my clutch line modified to finish up the hydraulics, and I only need to run one line for vacumn to finish up the brakes (with ABS)
Big todos -
Fuel system - going to have a custom fuel cell built out of a 98 camamo tank to fit and be smog legal
Exhaust - will be JBA chrome shortys into stock cats into a X-pipe with 2.5" duals all the way out the back
Wiring - Not tooooo bad, I have a bunch of writeups to help. Should be ~20 hours total
Little stuff to pass smog - AIR, EVAP, clearing MIL codes, etc...
The bad news is that I start school Thursday, so I have no time to run home and work on her till thanksgiving.
My goal is to have the beast running (not moving) by Thanksgiving, and on the road over my 3 weeks for winter break.
Pics-
Before pressure washing-
After-
New wheels (notice they are not on the car, Im waiting on new nuts)
Longblock ready to go in-
engine bay ready-
new clutch-
Swallowing the motor-

OOOOOHHH, AHHHH... SO beautiful!
I love those RX-7's and it looks SO pretty with that LS1 longblock sitting in there! That will definatley be one slick car once you're done! Good luck with the rest, I hope it all goes well!!!

Just a little tip, if you need more room at the front you can use the new LS-2 water pump but you will need to move the skinny LS-2 pulley forward on the shaft to make the belt line up. I had to do this on my '35 Ford.....the LS-2 pump gave me a full inch extra clearance (..and it is "low mass"......whatever that's worth)
