With a 150 shot, cam, and ET streets he should be able to make a 10 second pass.

I still consider an engine stock if it has a cam.

Bingo - you win - that'll be the setup.

Ill cam the beast after I get it all smogged, then jet to a 150 for just one session till I get that 10.96 pass and then dial it down a bit. I just want to honestly tell people "its a 10 second car."

with 450hp and 500 ft/lbs I should be real close, right?

And yes, the car has no motor in the side pics, nice catch...

If you up the shot for one day and barely make a 10 second pass I wouldn't exactly consider it a 10 second car. lol.

10's is soo 2002, its all about the 9's now

my goal is 420-450 rwhp on motor (i have plenty of goodies for those numbers) If i go forged bottom end, 200-250 shot,,, with stock bottom end il start with 100 and once i know everything is working 100%, bump it to 150 for good.

-Will 5.3 heads bolt up to a 6.0 block??? I see these escalade 6.0 bottom ends for sale here and there and it makes me giggle if i could have a forged 6.0 bottom end with the crazy heads/cam/juice setup i have brewin.

Yes, 5.3 heads will bolt to the 6.0 block. You just have to have the combustion chamber deshrouded to fit the larger bore of the 6.0.

I don't think that the stock LQ9 bottom end is forged...

If I can run 10s on a H & C setup @ 3300lbs your car should go 10s easy with a similar setup.
