Power to Weight Ration - LS6 in TVR - Quick!

Hi there - finally bitten the Bullet an gone all American.

Have purchased a New LS6 engine - will be going in the TVR early next year.

*** LS6 in Chimera 500 1100kg / 405bhp = 368bhp/tonne ***
Taraka 1070kg /315bhp = 294 bhp/tonne
Std Chim500 1070kg / 275bhp = 257bhp/tonne (290-300 ft/lbs)
Chim450 1070kg / 240bhp = 224bhp/tonne (270ft/lbs)
Chim400 1070kg / 210bhp = 196bhp/tonne
LS6 C5 Corvette 1491 kg / 405bhp = 271bhp/tonne
Tuscan 1100kg / 360bhp = 327 bhp/tonne (290 ft/lbs)
TuscanRR/S 1100kg / 390bhp = 355 bhp/tonne (310ft/lbs)
Cerb4.5 ~ 1150 / 370bhp = 321bhp/tonne
575 Maranello 1730kg / 515bhp = 298bhp/tonne 426ft/lbs
Murcielago 1650kg / 580bhp = 351 bhp/tonne (471 ft/lbs)

Good choice Jon. Install a better camshaft, some stiffer valvesprings, and some headers and you could have approximately 500 hp easily (400+ at the wheels)

I'll see how it goes in std LS6 spec - it will weigh less than 2425lbs that is 858lbs less than a C6 Vette, and even more over an Fbody car so will be Truely Nuts!

What kind of typical rolling road numbers will my LS6 make (at the wheels) - I am presuming that the 405bhp is at the crank.

stock ls6's at the rear wheels usually make 345-360hp at the rear wheels. For your 2400 plus car should move very well....if not lots and lots of tire smoke while moving forward!!!!

Anyone mated up a t5 to and LS. Best plase for a suitable bellhousing. Heard McLeod or Lakewoord you side, or mine I'll go through a specialist for a t56 bellhousing most likley to the t5.
