Thanks guys. Although this website is WAY behind what my car looks like today...it still gives you an idea of what was done to the car from the start.

Congrats! The car looks great, I can't wait to see the article.

If you get the Feb issue of Popular Hotrodding, my '69 is featured in that one. I haven't seen it yet though.

We are the feb '69 camaro feature dudes now!

Congrats

Being 17 i needed to get mine running as my only mode of transportation otherwise i would have spent more time on it. My quailty level isn't up to yours. Now i just need to start another project and get it done right.

Thanks a bunch you guys!

Hey Steve, I am definitely going to get a hold of those people after the holidays!
What "track" are you referring to? Dragstrip or road course? Actually, the answer is no to both anyway. I have been spening all of my time...and money on my 67 Camaro getting the engine rebuilt.
My wife found the receipts yesterday morning and it wasn't pretty around here for awhile. The conversation was something like this:

Wife: Ummm, did you just get a new motor or something for one of your cars?
Me: Yup, I'm re-doing the 67 motor so I can add a blower to it.
Wife: Ohh, did you break the last motor and not tell me?
Me: No, I'm rebuilding it to go faster.
Wife: Ohhhhhh faster huh? Just how fast did it go before and how fast are you making it?
Me: Well...it ran 9.60's @ 142 mph and I'm hoping to get into the 8's!
Wife: Let me see if I understand you correctly...you pulled out a perfectly good motor, and are spending close to $12,000 to be ONE SECOND FASTER?
Me: Ummmm, welllll, uhhhhhhh, errrrrrr....YES, I am dear.
Wife: *shakes head* and says, "YOUR ******* SICK ROBERT...JUST SICK!"

That should teach me to leave the receipts on top of my desk for the world to view!

Well, I gotta head back out into the garage and finish getting the engine ready for the dyno next Monday the 27th.
I'm hoping for 1000hp on 91 octane, 1200 horsepower on 100 octane, and ALOT of horsepower on race fuel. I plan on bringing 6 different pulley configurations!

See ya!

Robert

Yo Steve...I cannot find any contact information doing a search for "In-the-News" anywhere. Can you shoot me a phone number and/or website info please?

Thanks,

Thanks Steve!

I went to their website and laughed at how they say they do their pricing.
Apparently, they do not tell you the cost until they ship it to you. So, they ship the product and an invoice...then you have 30 days to pay it or return it? Too funny.

Is this the way it worked for you?

See ya!

Yea.. It was around $160 but it came out REALLY nice.. I guess they figure that once you have it you will see the quality your paying for and keep it.. if they just told you up front you wouldnt bit..

It really is a no risk deal though.. I was happy with the two they did for me

With any luck they will keep getting more of my business

Stealthjr,

I have heard from another source that the 69 in Super Chevy this month has a Martz front end. I am assuming that would be you. The few pics I saw on your website also look like the Martz. That is what I am planing on going with on my 73. Have any feedback on it?

What are you doing for rear suspension?

My 69 does in fact have the Martz front suspension. Although there were a couple of minor issues in the beginning with them sending some wrong parts...Gary Martz MORE than took care of any problems I had. The ride is great and it handles very well. I called Wayne Due and others and I could not justify the extra $2500 Wayne wanted for his setup verses the Martz! I'm not saying Wayne's setup is not worth the the extra cash...just that for my use...it wasn't.
The rear suspension is the HTH setup.

See ya!

Robert
