?: 5.3(ls4) bellhousing bolt pattern vs ls1 Hello,
Does someone/anyone know if the '05 Gand Prix GTX 5.3 v8 engines' transaxle
bolt pattern matches the ls1's pattern? I've searched the web and even asked
at the local dealership, but no one seems to know.
I have an ls1 in a Fiero mated to an "econo" 4sp that I'd like to change to the
4t65-e as used in the Grand Prix GTX. If the ls4 pattern ='s the ls1, that would
indicate that GM made the 4t65-e bell to match the engine rather than the
other way around and would permit mounting this transaxle to the ls1 without
an adapter.
