if it's the car formerly owned by teamspank (green on black) then it's a 4l60E unless the current owner has gone t56. I've got a few pics of it from the previous owner (teamspank on this forum) when it was up for auction on Ebay, but it's hard to see any clearances around the firewall and the tunnel

I'm still torn between just dropping in an LS1T56 and leaving the rest of the car unmolested for a total sleeper, or do I strip/gut the interior and lights, run fiberglass doors/hood/hatch and lexan windows/windshield/hatch to end up with an 1800 pound 350hp racecar? I think the sleeper is the cheaper way to go and will be uh, stage one.

i am having no problems with my car,other than the oil pan sits a little to low to the ground for me?i have actually decided to keep the car and work on to get it to my likings,it is just soo much fun to drive and fast i could not replace it if i did sell it ,so i will sell my bike and saturn redline and keep the 240. so if u guys can help fid out anything with the oil pan deal i would appreciate it.thanks

Is there the GTO front sump oil pan on it? I just looked at my engine bay and it looks likes the frontsump will only fit if I take out or cut my sway bar. can you take pictures of underneath the car for us? and also give us a shot of the mounts?
Owen you have AIM? I'd like to talk to you and bump heads so we can brain storm a bit. FUN FUN FUN!!

nah no AIM for me, you can email me at owen_the_soyboy@yahoo.com and I'll get right back to ya.
yeah its definitely a tight fit, the front subframe is really high off the ground, the steering rack is on the firewall side of the subframe and the swaybar is a foot forward of the subframe, I dont know how the LS1 will fit in there but we shall see what Hinson comes up with. knowing the oilpan used on rcnitrofreek's car is a front sump from an '05 trailblazer is moving in the right direction for sharing information here, the oilpan must sit between the swaybar and the subframe. I bet the subframe has to be lowered 2" for the LS1 to fit in there nice and snug.
hells yeah, I checked out the S13 last night and its in great shape, so I staked my claim to it. I'll have to snap some pics of it this wekeend since it has no engine at all it will be easy to show everyone here what were up against.

first you upload them to a website/server or email the pics to someone who will host them on the net for you.
then find the name of the pic online.... something like http://blahblahblah.jpg
then copy that name.
paste in in between these two things- without leaving spaces anywhere.
and you get something like this-
oh yeah!
that pic is an LS1 in an S13 240sx! someone on torquecentral found a thread on freshalloy, a nissan forum, where a member test fits an LS1 into his S14!
that thread is here---> http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthre...b=5&o=&fpart=1
