Default Anyone make a kmember for 66 gto-ls1

I was thinking of putting an ls1 into a 66 gto. Curious as to cost of new kmember with relocated ls1 engine mounts, or if it is even made??

wouldn't you need a '66 GTO first? LOL

GTOs don't have K-members, they're a full frame car i believe. just have to get the SBC to LS1 conversion plates probably.

PM "Project GatTagO" or look for some of his posts and click on his website in his signature. he's got a badass '69 GTO, no LS1 in it, but does have an injected SBC in it

Hi: Car Craft mag did a complete Ls1 swap in a 66 Chevelle a while back. The 66 GTO swap should be similar. They just had to made frame mount brackets for the LS1 motor mounts.

I actually have a 70 GTO with a fuel injected 502 big block.

The 66 GTO uses a full frame, so there is no K-member. As far as I know none of the oil pans that are available will fit without modifications. Street and Performance offers modified pans on an exchange basis as well as motor mounts.

Thanks for the info, I was thinking it was similar to the firebird, forgot it's the same as the chevelle.
