Thanks FastKat and Digitalsolo.. Paint should be OK on the manifold,, I have used this on previous projects though they did not have "Plastic" manifolds.

Yes , that would be true they are the chrome covers/brackets for the coils. I Could not figure a better way to "waste" 150.00.. LOL

93 POLO
If I had to do it again I would prob just buy a harness from one of the Sponsors. Not that difficult if you have pinouts for the PCM and wiring schematics for /from the donar vehicle and the car its going into. (hopefully it runs ) Though it really took quite a bit of time with integrating / modifying the existing harness. I have about a easy 70-80hrs in the harness modify
Could have been better had it not been at a time while it was 107 degrees in the shade here in Phoenix. (Yahhhhhhhh I know its a "Dry Heat" -- So is my Microwave LOL!!)

wow man, WICKED conversion, nice car, its obvious you have spent some time and money to get it all to look incredible, just WOW. I'd love to have an LS1-Caprice for a second car that could seat more than two people, lol, that has to be pretty pimpin around town... amazing paint color on yours and the detail on the motor (chrome this and painted that) really set it off.

woot wooot!

I do have the Vats signal from the 95 but not sure if it is the same signal that would work with the 2002 PCM? As I understand on the truck PCM's gets the Vats Signal (Fuel enable) provided from the "BCM" to the PCM. But the funny thing is that I have a wiring schematic and PCM pinout for the 2002 Truck PCM. But it does not show a "Fuel Enable pin" on the PCM ?? I was going to build a temp circuit to supply the signal just to get all of the small items checked and complete before getting a PCM program.
Currently getting the exhaust re-done.
Once I get the programiing completed I should be ready to go. Roger...

I have to agree with everyone, awesome ride!

question for ya on the 6.0L was that an electronic throttle? or was it a cable operated? if electronic...how'd you get around it?

do you ever hit up the pavillions? I'm doin a 6.0L LQ9 into a little nissan, I could use a little advise.

thanks

Ken

I put a different throttle body and MAF on (Converted from ETC). Still have the Electronic one sitting on shelf.
I was getting up to Pavillions a couple of times a month before the teardown. Once I get this thing running again I will be back at it.
That should be a handfull of fun LQ9 in a Nissan!!!

Speaking of Nissans have you seen the 300z with the LS1 in it at the Pavillions??

Ken sent you PM also..

There is no fuel enable pin because it's handled thru the serial data line. You can't trick it with a little square wave circuit. You either have to have the PCM reprogrammed to shut it off, or temporarily substitute an F-body PCM with a VATS bypass circuit to see if the engine is running ok (oil pressure, engine knock, smoke, etc.)..

Congrats on getting the beast running! I think even with posi you are going to need wider meats out back than that .

What headers did you use?

Did you end up using the truck harness or an Fbody one?

Thumbs up!

Headers are the Pacesetter Fbody A4
Used the truck harness -modified.
Yeahh kinda thinking I will do some wider wheels.. Was actually going to go wider when I ordered the wheels but Boyd wanted 1,000.00 per wheel for a 18-12" wheel. Will just have to save up some cash and get'em ordered..
