That is a great looking car and nice swap. I was wondering about the mounts. You said previous that you were going to use the s&p ones. How do you like them and did you have to notch the frame? If you had a pic of that I would appreciate it.

Yeah I actually used the "Universal LS1 mounts" Street Rod style. Street and Performance now make a specific 91-96 B-Body mount to place a ls1 one motor in the frame rails. If I am not mistaken they are 170.00. They are supposed to be bolt in!! The notching of the frame rails..

good job. nice car. got a few questions. what did you do for gauges? stock and if so how difficult was it to make them work with the ls1 harness? and the second question does you car have the obd2 diagnostic port? only reason im asking is my 93 z28 ls1 is 80% done and im on the wiring part but my car has the obd1 port

The gauges are from a 96 Z28, (took the stock digital dash out not a direct swap but many folks have done this change on 94-95 Caprice and SS's), Still have to change setting in PCM for correct tach pulse to get accurate reading from Tach. Used a 1998 Temp sensor, 3pin. Used the Service engine soon light, in the Z cluster so any codes will turn on the lamp. Used a OBD2 diag port.

I might grab a '92 or '93 Roadmaster for next to nothing and figured this would be the way to go as far as a motor swap, especially since I am no stranger to LSx motor swaps......
