Admin, we need some stickys!!!!
i have seen many many questions that get repeated. That is not a bad thing but it does show where some special attention is needed. I would like to see some stickys on a few subjects. I would be glad to help compile the data.
1. Modifying your own harness.
2. gauges, sending units, and adapters for the gauges.
3. Fuel system alternatives.
These are all common questions for all swaps!!!!!!!
so can i get a sticky if i get the data?

Absolutely. If someone wants to put together an FAQ for any of the frequent topics, I have no problem with making stickies. All it takes is someone to gather the info into one place.

I agree.... it is kind of annoying that we see so many threads with newbs saying "Can I put an LS1 into XXX??? That would be so cool!"
The Answer?: ANYTHING can be done... and if you have to ask "IF" it can be done, it is pretty clear you probably don't have the skill and/or resources necessary to complete a complex job like a late-model engine swap. Doing an LSX swap into a car it wasn't meant for is no easy undertaking and will take a LOT of work/time/and MONEY. You will often need to be very familiar with what goes into designing/modifying your own brackets and miscellaneous other parts, and being capable of modifying just about any component of the Vehicle you are working on. True, some vehicles are easier to do than others... but there are none that are quite to the point where they could be considered a "bolt-on" job that a weekend mechanic could undertake with little effort.

I do not see anyway to answer all the swap question in a single topic.

Since much of the information has been documented in past threads, an FAQ could be relatively easily created by just collecting links to the good, informational threads that are already in our archives. (The downside of this is that someone's going to have to Search just to collect the links... which the new user should be doing anyway.) I don't like being the Seach-**** telling people that they should use Search before they ask dumb questions like "Can I put an LS1 in my mom's old Geo?" but sometimes it's necessary.
Something like this:
Wiring
-thread1
-thread2
-thread3
Fuel
-thread1
-thread2
-thread3
Cooling
-thread1
-thread2
-thread3
First Gen F-body swaps
-thread1
-thread2
-thread3
Third Gen F-body swaps
-thread1
-thread2
-thread3
Corvette swaps
-thread1
-thread2
-thread3
RX7 swaps
-thread1
-thread2
-thread3
etc......
