I Drove My Car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yesssssss....finally after a year of sweat, blood and tears, I drove my car 
. It was awsome. I just went around the block a few times and I was able to get on it about half throttle, but I just spun the tires when I got it up to half throttle cuz im on a crappy 245 all weather tire. It was open shorties, and obviously loud as hell, so we all know what happens next. On the fourth time around I was pulling into my alley, a cop pulls into the alley and flicks on his lights. Luckily I the first cop that came up was a nice lady and was pretty cool about it, the other guy wanted to ticket me. He made me start it up, and was like, "Yea, thats too loud"...obviously 
. But they let me go because I was on my way to the garage. Goes to show you how my town is, if there is a loud car driving down the street, call the cops....damn old people. O well, I had fun, the car moves out very strong and nothing broke, so its all that matters. Im soooo happy right now....

hey man when u get your exhaust done post some pics nobody has any pics of a third gen with exhaust that i can find hahaha but ya im stuck on the exhaust for ground clearance so let me in on your secrets pleasssssssssssssssss lol later and CONGRATS
Well done! I've got at least another year of work to go. When I was 17 I test drove my '61 stepside with a new 350 and NO exhaust whatsoever, just straight block (very bad for exhaust valves) 
I passed a cop who had someone pulled over, and he let them go so he could come after me. 
Not only that, but I had no regi 
So I told him I was on my way to the muffler shop, so I could get exhaust and register it 
He bought it. But I'm sure he could have cited me if he wanted too...

Mufflex fabbed this up for me, ground clearance is a problem here also but it gets over all but the worst speedbumps.

Hey thanks man thatll help alot but i am worried about the Y pipe clearance lol i havent figured out how i wana run it for the most clearance in all directions specially the ground. So anyone else that has pics of exhaust please chime in with pics lol itll help the both of us... thanks

bet that LS1 feels a lot better than the 305. Sorry to hear about the neighbors and cops out there though. Glad I live in chicago, broke in the cam in the big block boat with open headders at 2500rpm for 40 minutes and the neighbors didn`t even say anything other than "you get your boat runnin? I was inside and I thought I heard it running."

Yea I lived in the city for school and after a while the noise wont bother you. But in these quiet little suburbs if you talk too loud, theyll issue you a citation. O well, at least there are no shootouts...lol.

Congrats!!!! I remember how awesome that was when I first went around the block with no hood, fenders, glass, with open headers and sitting on the seat which wasn't upholstered or bolted down. What a rush!! Then I heard the neighbor's kid..."hey Dad, the guy down the street got his "Legends" car running".........little monster (see if HE ever gets a ride!!)
