Default Project car has been sitting for a year, drain gas?

I have had my truck sitting for almost a year now with a full tank of gas. The truck has a 31 gallon fuel tank, almost full of premium. My guess is that it's probably bad by now??? I don't want to install my new motor to have it run like crap from bad gas and make me think there's some other problem. Thought I would run it by you guys first though.

I would just take the cap off the tank and see if it smells ok, I wouldnt think a year would be too long for that much gas.

I believe that there are some chemical stabilizers (like Stabil) that can help that too. My gas was find after 9 months of sitting.

I'd say drain it and use that gas in your lawn mower or something no reason to risk doing any damage with bad gas.

dont darin it, put in a bottle of stabil, and also a bottle of heat, just incase it has made any moisture in there. That is alot of premium to just throw away. After all, you could always do that, and then see if it runs ok, and the worst case you would have to drain it and put new in if it doesnt run right. I would try it first.

Where can you get heat? I've never heard of it. I have stabalizer that I use for my motorcycle (should've used it for the blazer too) but "heat" gets rid of moisture???

You can get heet at most auto parts stores. Personally, I would drain it and...as was already said...use it in your mower or something.

Don't put Heat in, The alcohol in it tears injectors up. BG makes a product that mixes the water and gas to where it won't seperate and gets burned. The water stays on the bottom of the tank anyway.

Seems like it may be more trouble than it's worth to save the gas. I'll add some stuff and see how it does for a few minutes. This brings me to another question. I worked at Chevy and we offered a fuel system cleaning. The bottle of stuff that is attatched to the fuel lines and cleans the rails and injectors made my MOC. Is there anything like that, that is avaiable to just anyone?
