i think under the dash is the only place where it really looks nice.. theres just no space for it underhood where it doesnt look out of place and is in the way.

It looks like the best place is under the dash, especially since it looks like quite a few people have been able to do it with out having to lengthen the wires. I put mine where the HVAC used to be, Its a decent place if you are not using A/C. But like MrDude said it looks out of place anywhere else and looks like it would get in the way.

Personally, where I put it I think doesnt look that bad. Not perfect by any means, but its really the only place I could put it. There is not way for me to drill a hole in the firewall without pulling the motor practically, and even then I dont think I would have enough slack to put it behind there. Heres a pic, take it how you may, but I dont think its too bad.

Not sure yet. Its not done completely. Ive driven it and got on it a little bit, and so far from what I can tell it was worth it. I need to take it to the track first before I can really give you an answer . But I think besides just the improvement on the power and all that, I learned a ton about cars, because I never did any thing like this before.

I was thinking about taking it to a shop to have them do it.

I really do not have the time or space to pull the conversion off. Keep me updated....

All i have is a 2 door garage and a set of tools from Target and a year of college under my belt, and I got it done(almost). I just worked at it on the weekends during the school year. It will take a lot longer and wont be as pretty, but you will save a butt load of money, and have the satisfaction of doing it yourself. I am not saying its bad to have your car done at a shop, but I think it takes a little bit of the fun and emotion out of it. If you do it the one thing I would invest in for sure is a compressor. Sure its a headache, and a lot of hard work, and time consuming....eh your right, just get it done at a shop...lol, JK.

If I have a garage, a compressor, engine lift, storage for the motor, time to do it, and patience then I would undertake the task.... Funny.. sounds like reasons to send to shop.... OH WELL!!! Either way I am getting it done.

dont worry, its not nearly as hard as you think.

if you've ever dropped a engine into a camaro, its just the same thing.... just change the motormounts first.... the physical parts are all almost a bolt in... and the wiring is pretty straightforward too.
