computer reprogram??? This may not be the right place for this but here goes anyway. I am ready to start wiring the LS1/T56. I plan to use a Painless Wiring Harness for my 98 LS1 computer, do I still need to have the computer reprogramed (they say you don't)? What extra stuff can I remove from the motor (EGR / second cat o2 sensors / etc.) It is going in a 70 Camaro and I an also going to change the fuel rail to a corvette's with a return line to the tank.

Re: computer reprogram??? You can run the car with zero changes to the PCM but it will throw codes. I did nothing to mine when I fired it up. If you plan on any level of mods, I would get the LS1_Edit since this would take the place of even a MAFT.

Re: computer reprogram??? OK so no mod to get running, that sounds good at least I will be able to drive it. What about the back o2 sensors are they eliminated? Can I remove the EGR? Is there anything else that can be removed?
The 97 C5 has a return in the fuel rail is that the only year?
