All systems appear ready . . . . .
With a prayer and bated breath, the key was slowly turned to the start position . . .

Finally, after working through an 18 month "gestation period", completely draining my savings as well as maxing out my credit card . . . .
My 1963 LS6 Corvette Grand Sport Tribute is born.

To our amazement, he started and idled on the first try. He idles with a lumptity lump, and revs like a champion, dying to hit the road . . but Mother Nature has chosen to rain on his parade, thus preventing him from leaving the garage for now . . . .
So far things are running right, the alternator charges at 14 volts, the electric fan turns on at 185* and brings it down to 180* in a very short period of time. Fuel pressure looks good, and the vacuum gauge reads smooth.
I can't put into words how excited I am, and I thank you all for the invaluable information, and especially Andy (Xsta Z 28) for all his hard work and encouragement throughout the project.

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
With true duals and side pipes the exhaust is fairly mellow, not too overwhelming.
Car idles pretty well, for only having a basic tune. The SES light is on, but that could be a number of things.
I think I am still in shock that what started as a pile of parts, has come together into a complete car that runs. Next test is driving it.
The only issue that I know of that does not work right are the turn signals, which is pretty minor when you think of it.
