LS1 Fans question
A GM dealer will sometimes have 'service' parts for the harness. I've bought other connectors for GM harnesses this way. The connector comes in a bag with pigtails to wire into the harness.
One of the board's sponsors, Nelson Performance, makes a harness for the LS1 fan. Perhaps he'd sell you the connectors your looking for or tell you the part number.
If you have any junkyards nearby, find a V6 or V8 camaro '98 up and they should be willing to clip those connectors out of the harness.
Waytek Wiring sells the Packard-type connectors, shells and pins. They have a .pdf catalog on the web at http://waytekwire.com/. They have a minumun order, but lots of interesting stuff.
Good luck........
The LS1 fans obviously cooled an LS1 in the donor car, so if the radiator is big enough it should work in the S10.
CFM for the LS1 fans probably isn't an issue because they run at half power (fan motors wired in series) unless the airconditioner is on, then they switch to high (fan motors in parallel) so the condenser will cool.
Once you get the connectors for the fan, are you going to have the computer swiitch it on and off using the multi-speed relays from the LS1 donor car?

However, for my application, I needed to be moving the max amount of air due to mostly slow speeds that I am driving (rockcrawling at walking speed). I also wanted the SPAL fan because of the curved blades that would take it easier on my radiator upon impact when I flop the thing on its side, or worse.... so a low noise fan was not at the top of my priorities.

I believe the fans draw about 15-20 amps each at 12V, so both running on high speed are noisy and suck up a fair amount of your alternator's capacity (105 amp, I presume)
(If somebody knows better, please correct me)
Only the low speed is required to cool the engine, but to cool the motor and the condenser, the fans run on high.
If you run the fans on high all the time you defeat some of their HP benefit and can load up your alternator.
If you run the fans on low with the AC on you can build pressure in the AC that isn't good.
To use the factory fans you should either use the factory relay pack and PCM (which turns the fans on at 205F by the way) or have your PCM reprogrammed and use a Nelson harness/relay to run the fans at low/high speed.
Hope this helps you out some.

P.S. you guys with ls1, watch out for this lil truck, it will turn some heads...
take it easy guys. I'm getting ready to do my truck and am curious to see how it works out. I'm in Phoenix and it is really hot, but the guy in Texas who sold me the harness said he's got lots of customers in Texas and it works well.
Let us know how it works out..
