pm or call Mike over at G-force. They did an awesome ls1 swap into a 95 or 96 impalla ss, actually he is probably the person mentioned before hand with the 454 c5r motor. That thing hauls ***.

The last I knew there were 7 B-bodies with LSx engines in them. Mine being #6 and a several weeks ago some guy in Cali completed his.
Scott Higgins site shows a bunch of photos of his conversion. Speartech did a wagon...probably the first B-body LSx (they are first with allot of stuff).
I installed an '02 Z28 LS1 and 6-speed into my '95 9C1 just over a year ago. With only a cam swap, larger injectors, gear swap and headers I have run a best of 12.525@111.22 with a measely 1.81 60 foot time.
I understand the comment about the Impala SS Forum...99.99% of those guys have never ridden in an LSx B-body (nevermind just a stock LSx car) so they don't know what they are missing. BTW, took my 21 days for my conversion. Since I was in a major time crunch doing my conversion, I didn't take pictures like Scott Higgins did. He really documneted a bunch of it.
Go ahead and do the conversion...you'll love it!

I wonder what these SS rear wheel drive guys are going to say about the new 5.3L front drive SS Impalas that are arriving right now. It's only a matter of time before some enterprising individual slides an LS2 or C5R motor into one of these! ....should be almost un-drivable.

Gary hit the nail on the head...a lot of the guys over there are stubborn die hards...they'd rather strip the car down to practically nothing, then do all kinds of stuff to the LT1 and only be in the mid 12's at less than 110 mph...in a car with nothing in it and a motor with shitty street manners. Then you ride in Gary's car (that I've had the priviledge of driving) and you realize how much the car hasn't been stripped down at all, and he runs what he runs, and the car has great street manners...I'm working on piecing my LS1 back together so I can drop it in...I'm planning on going a little crazier than Gary did with his, but it's all going to depend on the budget.

Thanks,, I am actually further along then that last picture shows. I just gotta take some more photos. Street and Performance are very close to having a set of motor mounts specific for the B-Body/ LS1 power. I talked to them last week and they say they have a completed design and it just needs to go to production. Did not give a price for what they will sell for though..
