Ls1 Electric Fan Help Can Anyone Tell Me What Size Fuse I Should Use For Controlling My Electric Fans I Put A 2000 Camero Motor In My 55 Nomad And Am Using The Stock Comaro Ls1 Radiator And Fans With Painless Relays And Need To Know If I Should Run 12 Volts To Each Fan Seperatly And What Size Fuse To Use Please Help If You Can. My 2000 C5 dual cooling fans use 30 Amp fuses each. What the Corvette does is run both fans in series together for low speed where each one would drop 6 Volts each so half speed, then high speed is with each connected independently to 12 volts. This is done through about 3 control relays.
I would suggest running each on its own 30 Amp fuse. Another way is if you have a amp meter that can read the amp draw when they are on then add about 25% for start up amp cussion. That would get you a real answer, then size to the nearest fuse value.
