Default LS1 into a '94 Z

I've done some searchs and may have overlooked this. I have a 2000 C5 LS1. I wondering if I get a LS1 tubular K member would I be able to still use all the vett acseseries? And could I bolt on a F body throtal body to do away with the vett drive by wire throtal body? I know I would need a F body oil pan and pick up also.

Thanks for any help given.

Since LS1 Z28s arent that much money it would be kind of a pointless swap.

I agree with that, I have a '99 Z28. It's a customer that has a 2000 vett engine with only 2800 miles on it. The car was totaled when new and he bought it for the engine. Now he wants it in his Z. But it's lookin like it's goin to cost him way more than it's worth. If the vett acs. wont work with a F body K mem he'll need all the acs. also.

Its not that hard of a swap . Send the ecm and wiring harrness to wait4me or spertech . I would sell or swap the vette acc. (they common for s10 and other swaps ) and get a set of Fbody acc.

I think it would be cool. You get the better looks of the lt1 camaro and the better power of the ls1. The best of both worlds IMO.

Can they convert it from the M6 program to a A4 program?

Yeah the vett had a M6 and his Z has an A4 which he wants to keep. So I would need the harness modified for that.

I dont know if the lt1 a4 will work on the ls1 . It might be best to sell or trade the m6 for an ls1 A4 and wiring harness. Just look in the parts for sale section people are willing to give there right arm for those tranmissions .

Hadn't thought about that. But if a TH350 and such will bolt up seems like the LT1 4l60E should also. I'll have to call about the wiring Tuesday.

Would the trans harnes plug into a LS1 computer? If so I might could get a A4 computer from a salvage yard.

I wouldn't get a new ecm . Its going to have to be reprogramed anyway . just have program it for a4. You might just get a a4 harness and be done with it . Frist I would talk to Jesse he might can convert it . He make the harness a standalone and program the ecm for $300.

if it is a 94 that would be and OBDI 1, the LS1 is OBDI 2. I am not sure, but I bet there would be a difference.

One thing you will need to change is the rack in pin. The rack had to be swaped with a 98 up f body. I have done a 95 t/a with a 98 ls1 had the harness converded at Speed Scene Wiring. They took the lt1 and ls1 and blended them together. With program; they solved the wiring problems for me.

I'm planning on putting in a '99 K member so the motor mounts would be right. So I'll need to change to the '98 up rack also? I'll call about the wiring Tuesday. O yeah I talked to him and the engine is out of a 2000 camaro not a vett. So that'll make it that much easier.

The K member was changed, with out me so I have no intel on that. But the rack was hitting the oil pan. If I remeber correctly most K members use factory located racks. Hope this helps.

When the motor is out just take the two bolts out and take tie rods loose .
