Should be fun, those are stock 98 LS1 heads though, same ones as my swapped engine has.

Do you have a goal date to have it moving under it's own power? (done is never the right word here, what project car is ever completed? )

You lose 2 front driveshafts. I wouldnt call that a weight reduction. The T56+LS1 will be a lot heavier than the Subaru engine and box, as both are relatively light.

Dont forget that power is going through 4 wheels, and front and rear diffs.

The standard R-160 diff in a WRX is not at all strong ( I believe sone Nissan/Datsuns also use an R-160, which refers to crownwheel diamater in mm )
The latest STI uses an R-180 diff, which is stronger, as are its driveshafts etc.

an R-180 rear end will bolt straight in, but buy complete with shafts and hubs etc.

Tallest rear end ratio is a UK/Euro/US spec STI which has a 3.54 rear end.

Jap specs will have a 3.9, as they use a different transfer box.

not ls6 aka z06 heads
it looks like you have the zo6 intake manafold. as there is no EGR present.
plus you have a 98 style water pump.

since your adding boost id try to get some 6.0L heads bigger CC will alow for more boost.

All of this just to beat a turbo mustang

But perhaps that is not even an LS6 intake and just a plain jane 97-98 Corvette intake. The C5's had a EGR less LS1 intake.

Personally with the 97-98 heads and that intake, I think you got just a plain jane 97-98 LS! out of a vette. Not a Z06 motor. Pull the heads off and take a few pics of thise for us.

LOL, dont we all. you should not start a project like this if you do not have the $$$ to finish it. I would say the chance of you getting a large sponsor is 0%. what do they have to gian by giving you $$$$? you have a one off car that they will not build conversion parts for. the car manufacture sure wont give you $$$ (they would kick you in the nuts though). just slow down a little and finish the project a little slower. it will be an awesome car!!

Remember to correct for bumpsteer. Moving that rack will add another component to the conversion equation.

An R230 300zxtt/Q45 diff is nearly a 9" ring gear and is very very stout. Putting a solid rear end out back.... . Why not keep it IRS and put some upgraded 300M axles along with it? IRS cars can 60 foot awesome as well.

Maybe you should create a mid engine LS1 powered Brat with C5 transaxle instead. You could have 2 turbos mounted on a roll bar like the original KC Daylighters!
