What all needs to be tuned to start this thing up??

What all needs to be tuned to start this thing up??

Getting ready to fire this thing up... we did a few test cranks today to see if it would try and fire. It almost did a few times. We're gonna hook the laptop up to it tomorrow night and finish a few things, then try to start it. H/C with open headers will be sweet!

*Anyways, what all will we need to tune to start it? VATS on the 4th gen PCM? Fuel tank pressure? Any weird signals the PCM would be looking for that we need to delete? We'll delete rear o2's, EGR, and some other misc BS later on. Please let me know and wish me luck!!

i think for the most part youll be good with what u haave. also make sure the air pump is deleted from the ecu, i think the pump in the f-cars sends somethin to the ecu. the gas cap does too. jus read the codes and delete as nessecary(sp)

I know there will be codes and stuff that needs deleted after the initial startup/driving.... but I want to know what needs to be tuned to start it? Just VATS or what?

i think so, theres nuthin else that i knw of code wise that would make it not start

All you need to read is the top "LS1 Swap FAQ" at the top of the Conversions forum. I read all the deleted items that need to be removed to make it all work.

These guys are great to post their experience up on one complete thread for all to read and digest.

I read the FAQ and didn't see anything. We tried to start it last night and it runs for a second or two but the PCM is killing the injectors or fuel. There was a fuel pressure low voltage code or something.... think we're going to disable it and see if it will start. This thing sounds sick on open headers!
