ls1 in '69 GTO?

I have a '69 GTO that I'm restoring and I'm thinking about putting an ls1 into it. Has anyone done this on an old GTO before that could tell me potantial problems and what the hardest part of the swap would be?

many peformance shops have been doing ls1 conversions for awhile now. It can be done. check out speed incs conversion section, it shows some cool pics!

http://www.lateral-g.net/members/campisi/ has a write up on a GTO swap. I started a topic on their forum as I've never seen the headers used on a A-body.

Mark do you know which mounts were used, BRP, Street & Perf?

Also are the Kooks LTs completely custom or something Kooks stocks now?

I have done a 68 lemans convertable. It will be going to the muffler shop in the a.m. to hook up the exhaust after the o2s are hooked up, it will be ready to crank. The motor is a 6.0 4l80e out of a 02 2500 suburban. I used the stock oil pan, intake,and the other acc. on the front. I even was able to use the fan. I made the mounts myself and have plenty of room every place.jim.
