Engage Reverse Lockout?
the possible ideas I have are:
1) remove the reverse lockout all together (bad idea)
2) trip the lockout with a button (feels gheto....so don't want to do)
3) trip the lockout with the brake light switch (have to push the brake to get into reverse.....kind of hard when you need to hold the clutch and the gas down to fast idle
)4) find a modual that will read the VSS signal and "close" (ie: release the lockout) when MPH > 5 (what I would REALLY like but can't find anything)
5) take the reverse lockout apart and cut the spring off a few coils to make it easier to "crash through" (what I'm looking at doing).....
so any ideas?

i went thru this same issue when i put a T56 behind my 400SBC...
first off, DONT do the brake switch thing.... i was going down a hill, and went to downshift from 6th to 5th.. well, of course im on teh brake at the time.. it went into reverse just fine.... luckily i realized what happend and didnt let the clutch out.. i can see it happening eventually though.
i ended up using a descrete button on the far left side of the dash.. pushing it powers the lockout...
ideally, i wanted #4 myself... but i never got around to building a PIC device to do it. if you look on 3rdgen fbody websites, you'll see its a common issue when people swap 6spds in... but noone has a nice clean solution yet.
