My son did one. Runs great except we are fighting an electrical gremlin that cuts the power to the computer occassionally.
1) Mounts: Used adapter plates made by Gearhead Garage in Gilbert, AZ (very similar to S&P)
2) Used the stock radiator from the 70 GMC shortbed, fit the electric fans and shroud from the 2000 Z28 onto the stock radiator
3) Sent the LS1 wiring harness to Speartech, well worth the money!
4) Fuel system: 255 Walbro external pump, used the 99 Vette Regulator/Filter, brazed in a return line into the stock tank
5) Used all new instruments mounted into the stock bezel.
6) Exhaust: Hooker shorties into a true dual setup with x-pipe and borlas. They go 90 degrees and exit in front of the rear tires using rectangular tips.
7) Shifter: B&M automatic floor mounted cable shifter
8) Inlet: Late Model GTO elbow going to a K&N Conical Filter
Overall, it's a very nice conversion. Gets much better mileage and it runs great.
