What type of headers are you guys using who've put a LS-1 into a second gen F-body or are you using the stock exhaust manifolds?

Thanks,
Marc

Nick, any part numbers or application for those headers? Are they the ones for a LS1 (4th gen) Camaro? Thanks.

I'm kind of amazed that there aren't more swap-specific headers available, everyone seems to be adapting late model headers.

I used Pacesetter race-style (no emissions fittings) long tubes. Had to bend the passenger side collector inward very slightly, and cut and reweld the driver's side collector so it doesn't point at the frame rail. The Pacesetters are cheap for LS1 headers.

I would bet that one of the small block mustang headers might fit by just welding on LS1 flanges, but I've not tried that.

Did they need any massaging?

yeah I got the slip on collector version so the primaries are still able to be moved seperately.. Little bit of heat to move the primaries on the drivers side straight. Dropped right in.

Thanks dog. I was looking for a cheap 1 3/4-1 7/8 stepped header for a swap in my 73. Ya just hooked me up.
