Cobra LS1
Wow, very nice. Good luck and keep us all informed.
At 2200 lbs, with at least 350 rwhp (the headers have to be worth at least 20 rwhp) he should be realy quick in the quarter. You think 10s would be possible? That's over a 1000lbs less than a stock f-body and they run low 13 to high 12s.

Well, I feel a bolt-on 6spd is good for ~109-111mph trap speeds in the 1/4.
Add ~20rwhp in headers = ~113mph trap speed.
Now subtract ~1200lb's (assuming avg 6spd Camaro is ~3400lb's), and that should be worth 7-10mph in the quarter.
It would have a very hard time at high 10's w/o slicks and a gear.
But mid 11's at 120+ should be attainable. . . we'll just have to convince my Dad to let me drive it.

But a ls1 is a great idea too.
A friend has one with a sc 385hp ford crate motor.....and a felpro and a richmond 6 speed.....it has run 11.40 but the 6 speed makes it hard for him to drive....I think the mph was in the 124 area....
I can t wait......Im shooting for 2200 lns too....

I have some more pics to put up on the page as well.. the radiator & mounts are done, the frame is now ready to go (stripped & painted with POR), and reassembly of the whole frame & drivetrain is going to be done for good now (no more mocking up etc).
Most of the rest of the work is not that difficult (just labor for Derf ), but there are a few issues we need to figure out, like the clutch linkage & line.
