LS1 POWERED 67 CAMARO!
We will be offering a complete engine swap kit that will include hedders,mounts,pcm,wiring harness,oil pan,air intake(also complete drop in engine packages) and any other parts needed.

I would think that a tubular subframe with front mounted rack steering would be a good idea to try out with a LS1 derived engine in a 1st Gen. Think about the weight it would save...I could barely lift up my bare subframe by itself, and that was before I bolted anything onto it. Maybe even use some newer F-body brakes like that Hotchkis <sp?> 2nd gen Camaro did.
I also think that using a rack would help with engine placement since the steering linkage wouldn't be in the way of a factory oil pan. Good luck with the project, <img src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

Was installed using self made brackets and wiring from a 2000 T/A. I've been in the process of major upgrades to the car and should be finished by summer.
