NEED HELP PLEASE! I have an engine sitting on a pallate waiting for a kit car and to ensure it runs good I tried to fireit up. I have the entire car wiring harness with column and key. It does run roughly but, I noticed a spark is deliverd when the key is turn on without the starter moving. I have all the engine sensors hooked up as far as I know including the O2 and MAF. Anyone have a reason why or what am I missing.

Re: NEED HELP PLEASE! How do you have it wired? Specifically, what do you have supplying the coils with power? The lead supplying power to the coils is at a plug that would be left undone if someone supplied you with an engine harness, and no body/chassis harness(es). I had to splice that wire(wires? I forget now) to supply power for the coils.
Do you get a spark at every coil? Or which one?
Considering you are sitting on a palatte, grounding the motor etc may be an issue.
