Shift Lever Up or Down On A F-Body 4L60E?

Which way does the little shift lever point, up or down, on the drivers side of a 2001 F-Body 4L60E tranny? Need to hook-up my shift cable & it could go on either way.

You can mount it either way. just mount it the way that your shift linkage requires.
