Default 57 Chevy Belair w/Newman conversion

I'm planning on a Paul Newman conversion with eithier an LS1/4L60E or LS6/4L65E combo-waiting patiently for the LS6 crate motor to come out with a computer and wiring harness pkge like they did with the LS1.If anyone has any info on when GM will do this-let me know.

Car: 1979 Chevy Impala (see sig)
Engine/Trans: 1999 LS1 and T56 from Z28

I just took possession of the donor car and have yet to remove the drivetrain. Car was a rollover and still drives, so its going to be really hard to rip the life from it! Due to lack of funds at the current moment, I will have to wait until next winter before I get a good start on things. This is ok, because already I have learned so much from this forum, I should have all the information I'll need by the time the swap actually takes place! Its amazing...when I first thought of doing this project, I thought for sure I was the only one in the country to attempt an LS1 swap into an older vehicle. Boy, was I wrong!! Thanks guys for the great site and I'm sure you'll be seeing more of me asking stupid questions as the project progresses!

Default 69 Camaro w/ LS1

I have been working on it for awhile and hoping for a Sept 04 completion date. Should be in paint by April.

69 camaro with LS1/T56 will be a head/cam motor with a TNT set-up. The front suspension is a DSE coilover set up. 12 bolt with 3.73 and will be running a spec 3 clutch.

The first time I posted here the motor was in the crate. Now it's in and has 5000 more miles on it. 24-25 mpgs on the road, 17 in town and about 14 in the woods.

My webpage is under construction and not complete, having a few problems with the software. I have enough there to see what is going on with the project. My email is <a href="mailto:genesis0503@msn.com...3@msn.com</a>

Finally finished my LS1 swap, began in December and turned the key beginning of Feb. Pics of the swap in progress are at http://www.warpten.com/carpics/ls1/

It runs great, had to delete a *lot* of diag codes to keep the check engine light off and I'm controlling both cooling fans with the "High Speed Fan" driver on the PCM for now. Other than that, it's in and happy.
