Tomorrow I'm starting my swap of an LQ4 with LS3 crank/rods/pistons/and head in front of a healthy 4l80 into a 1992 GMC G2500 high top camper van.

Sorry if I'm doing this wrong I've never been on one of these before but I've got a 2005 Chevy 2500 with the 6.0 LS in it my motor spun or through a camshaft bearing talented terrible but I've also got a 99 3/4 ton 2500 with a 600 LS I was told that I could take my block out of my '99 strip everything off of it and put everything off of my 05 on my 99 block and it'll bolt right up and work as long as I put all the electrical and fuel injection and everything on it I was told in boat right up to my transmission but the problem we're having is apparently the 99 has a longer camshaft or whatever the shaft is that the torque converter bolts to so when we go to hook the transmission or both the transmission up it's not letting the transmission come all the way together we got about a half inch Gap we already broke one ear off the top passenger side of the transmission trying to draw it together that way and when we put the flywheel off the 05 on 99 I thought that was going to be it and we got it bolted up with just a paper Gap and we couldn't turn the motor over to align the torque converter bolts because it was pushing against the torque converter already do I or can I get a shorter torque converter for my 99 with the longer shaft

Take the Spacer off the Flexplate and bolt it up to the 1999 Engine, I answered your other post too.

Hell shouldn't even have unbolted the Flexplate from either to be honest.

Both Engines side by side with it unbolted and none of you could look at the back of them and see one has a longer Crank Flange, then compare parts to see what the difference is?

1999 Engine Flexplate unbolted with no Spacer.
2005 Engine Flexplate unbolted with a Spacer.

That right there would have prompted someone to go well damn something is different here...

That's why parts are broken. Pay attention to detail.

Update on mine (S484, E85, SBE LM7, T400, 9", Holley Dominator)...

I've made about a dozen passes on it, went best of 5.64@127 1.37 coasting to a 9.07@123.
