Default 6.0L swap???

I want to swap a 6.0L truck motor in to my 81 Malibu but have some???
-are all the 6L motors the same?
-what's the perfered years to look for?
-how much N/A hp can i get with bolt on's (cam, rr, minor head porting, headers/3"dual exhaust) on a stock program?
-will a ls6 intake work on the 6L? (i don't need the low end tq since my car is 1000+lbs lighter then the trucks)
-can i use the old stile tranys?
-do i have to use the truck computer or can i use a ls1 cp?
I will be doing the swap myself.
Thanks for the info <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

If you need an oil pan and motor mounts to make this a bolt-in installation please e-mail me!

the 6.0L that come in the HD trucks are different than ones in the Escalade and Denali. I think it might be due to higher compression. The horsepower difference is like 20 hp or so. Check out the truck forum for more info, alot of guys are asking questions about 6.0L swaps and whatnot.

make sure you get a 2001 or up 6.0L. they came with aluminum heads closely related to the LS6 heads but with bigger combustion chambers. the older ones came with cast iron heads.
