853 heads on a 6.0 with Gm hotcam Compression?
I bought a 70 camaro with a LS1 6.0 block from a 04 truck and they put 853 heads on it and a gm Hotcam. The car should run real strong but does not. I think its probable in the tune but wanted to get a idea if they put the wrong heads on that 6.0 block. Any ideas?

10.5:1.
I would bump to 11:1 but that just a bit more (7hp) up top. Is it Tq that is missing down low? It will pick up a bit there. Those heads aren't the best choice but a future move to ETP's -215cc- will get you up 40hp more.

Maybe you are right. I have a 68 Pro touring Camaro with a 496 that runs 11.4's. Still the 70 should go good. If its not the compression I will have them look at the tune. I bought it complete and they used one of those small Delphi computers that turnkeyengine sells. I have to send the computer to them to get it tuned which sucks. I thought about scapping it but will give them one shot at tuning it. I would guess that the car runs 13.5 to 13.8. I think with the combo that it should be able to go high 12's?
