Are all motor mount adapters just about the same
Are all motor mount adapters just about the same I found these

they are only $40. And I have seen some for $150-$200. I know the quality of the materials matters but what should I be looking for? Or will these work?

The ones for 150-200 usually include the mount themselves and/or other adapters. These are just the plates you can buy them mounts for 30 a peice from summit.

I'm using them. They're rough, so I had them powdercoated and they're great. They've gotta be stronger than the S&P style, being steel vs aluminum. As to whether or not it'll fit in a 240SX, i have no idea. They're generally used in cars that already had a sbc or bbc. Anything's possible..

ditto to alexp.. just get a flap wheel on an angle grinder, clean up the edges, then either spray them with rustoleum or get them powdecoated. I got some SBC 3 bolt motor mounts, bolted them right up. the hardware's included. go for it.

yeah, i took a quick trip to ace hardware to grab some metric studs/lock washers/locknuts, too. I felt a little more secure using steel vs s&p's aluminum ones, but it's probably not an issue..

i have a set of the car shop ones, but when i ordered the hooker headers, i decided to get their adapters-they were about twice the price of the car shops, but were designed for their headers-prob glad i did, as they moved the engine back about 1", and up about 1/4", which allowed the cts oil pan tp fit the a body chassis-the only thing i didnt like was all bolts were counter sunk, which limits how much you can tighten the bolts-i used reg bolts in exposed holes
