Ls1 runs finally Ive been waiting for a few things to start it up,one being the pcm from jesse at wait4me and a piece for the fuel rail,well today the last piece came.I cant believe it fired right up,a couple cranks and bam fired up.Thanks to jesse for programming the pcm ,worked perfect.Basically its a 2004 ls1 i built from a bare block with ls6 intake and injectors,i took my hooker sidepipes and cut off the flanges and welded them to ls1 flanges i got from the dealer.Its hooked to a modified 700r4.Still have to do some more things like the p/s pump and belt and then ill be able to take it for its first run.

Short block is assembled and ready to drop in. But need heads to start fabbing exhaust up. Have a stock corvette air intake tubing coming. Hoping to pull of something nice looking with that.
I expect I'm still a month away from running

i had to use a crank spacer with the longer bolts for the convertor hub to sit into and used a ls1 flexplate everything bolts right up except for one bolt on on passenger side where the dipstick would bolt to.I just made a brcket to hold the tube to back of head instead.And i modifed my throttle body for the tv cable to hook to.

Was the flexplate flat? the one in the LQ9 flowers out a little.
Nice to hear it started right up, bet that was a great feeling. My conversion will take months ... still gathering parts stage...
