Default finally driving the Mustang

Just wanted to thank everyone for the info on this board, it would have taken forever to do this without your help. All I have left to do is get the A/C lines made, and I'm ready for summer. I have had 5 mustangs before and this one is by far the most fun to drive. Now I can't wait for the track to open back up so I can see how fast it is. The motor has a TR224 cam, long tubes, a tune, and a Yank 3200 stall. Once again thanks for all of the help.

Cool WOW, WOW, and WOW!!!

Dude, the install looks great, you do great work. I am sure others will ask, but I will be the first. What type of headers used, motor/trans mounts, wiring used, etc. PLEASE, post some more details, as I have a 96' stang I really want to do the same conversion on. Good Luck and enjoy your LS1-Stang!!!

Lightbulb never mind.........

I think I answered most of my questions by researching your previous posts. Although, I as well as others would like some more pics, i.e. under car, k-member/mounts, etc. Again, great job, I just looked at your pics for the 5th time..............

Do you plan on having this car inspected? Do they say anything about the guages or mileage (or is it just noted that the mileage is off)?

Nice job.

Why not! I see nothing wrong with putting a better engine in any car. Nice job with the swap and enjoy the car now.

I'm debating putting 5.0 badges on mine

BUT I'll probably completely de-badge it like I did my last Mustang.

One of my neighbors makes the plastic decals for office doors, cars, etc. My Mercedes is a "560SEC", and so was the chrome emblem that I removed from the trunk when I had the car painted. She made me a dark metallic "560SEC" to go with the silver paint, and I'm thinking of a "570SEC" once the LS6 is in there, maybe with an "LS6" in a smaller font underneath.

Take a look at your local graphics houses and see what they can do. Her "560SEC" with the line under it like the chrome emblem was all of $4.00. By using a decal on the car, you can have anything you want and it's cheap. They do make decal material for cars, so it will last. Once I figure out what I want, I'm going to have several copies made so if I wax too hard and take one off, I'll just put on another one. It's possible the graphics house could take a JPEG file, so you could design your own graphic, JPEG it and email it in.

Anyway, this is another path to amusing and abusing the locals.

I think that new GM badge that they are putting on everything would be even funnier. Just a simple aluminum GM badge. That would leave everyone going WTF?!?! until you opened your hood.

Wow, looks great!! I am SERIOUSLY looking at putting the 6 liter from my truck in my wifes 2005 Stang. Preliminary measurements with a tape measure says it will fit easily.
