Could you show me a pic of what you made, and possible which parts they are, like diameter, length, etc.

We were discussing this on TGO about how the fbodmotorsports $250 kit wasnt too much, but looking at their prices, it looks like you can make it for under $100 easily....

simple.

the Throttlebody OD is ~4"
the stock LS1 MAF OD is ~3.5" on both sides (the larger MAFs are ~4")

what i used was a short radius (tight curve) 90* elbow that was 4" at one end (for the throttlebody) and 3.5" at the other end (for the MAF)

now pick out any of about 100 K&N cone style filters.. i went with a HUGE one that had a 4" outlet.. this is because it will eventually be feeding a turbo, but for now, its just huge.. lol.

if your K&N outlet is 4" then get a 4" tube...
if your K&N outlet is 3" then get a 3" tube... ect

a 45* tube is what that kit uses..

now to go from the MAF to the K&N+tube assembly you just need a hump hose.. they make 3.5" to 4" and 3.5" to 3" and most other combos you'd need...

3.5" to 4" short rad 90* : http://store.airflo.com/90hl40r35.html

3.5" to 4" Hump hose: http://store.airflo.com/40r35sl.html

3.5" to 3" Hump hose: http://store.airflo.com/35r30sl.html

all rubber intake stuff on their site: http://store.airflo.com/rubber-hoses---clamps.html

Here's a pic of my setup, pretty much what Mr. Dude described. Just like him we went with a big Filter. Thought about putting another elbow on it so the filter would be down in the fender area. Decided that while it might get a little cooler air, the extra elbow might actually decrease air flow and it's a daily driver so concerned it might get some water exposure too
