JTR (JAGS THAT RUN) will have headers and motor mounts for your first gen swap.

Nice to know we are not alone on this swap (91 w/5.3 4L60E)I know the feeling of doubt I bought mine as a winter truck I started undoing the hack work by the previous owner next thing I know it's down to the bare frame. Hey Great pics nice job on the frame Mods.I should have the 2.8 pulled this weekend and start on the frame notch next week.Anyone know anything about fly by wire throttle my motor's an 05 I'm thinking it might be best to convert back to a cable throttle plate ?

the fly by wire im told needs a body control module and donor accelerator pedal. much easier to do the cable throttle body IMO.

if you're going to run the 05 PCM, its easiest to retain the "throttle by wire" setup and just install the gaspedal with the sensor on it.

if you're going to swap harnesses to an Fbody one, aftermarket, or another PCM that uses the cable throttle, then change it.

although, im 90% sure the 05s use the later high res crank sensor.. so i think you're stuck with either the newer PCM, or an aftermarket controller.. if it was me, i would just mount the pedal.

remember, this isnt just throttle control, the PCM also uses the throttle blade to adjust for idle.. there is no IAC.

dont be scared of it, the factory did all the hard work.. all you need to worry about is mounting the pedal, and connecting a couple wires.. no big deal.

How did those headers work out for you? what primary tube size are they? How did they fit, any mods made to make them work? they look very nice, and im trying to find some good info on exhaust...thanks Austin.

The primaries are 1-3/4" with 3" collectors. They fit very well and I am very happy with them. Steve at LS1 Performance sometimes takes to long time to get things shipped. I think they are pretty busy. It took me about 90 days to get the headers but it was worth the wait.

Another option on the pan is using a C6 Corvette pan (LS2 of course) It's a really shallow pan and only requires a small section taken out of the crossmember.
