t56 bellhousing
I'm taking a long shot here, you would need to use a LT1 T56 only not an LS1 T56.
You could use a J.W. or similiar SBC to BOP adapter plate that uses all six bellhousing bolts, NOT the TCI one that uses only four.
You would then need to make sure the release bearing can reach the distance of the thickness of the plate and it should work.
The only problem I see is the input shaft being too short.
I forgot the differences between the LS1 and LT1 input shafts but if the LS1 shaft is longer you might use the LS1 T56 with an LT1 bellhousing and adapter.
Of course the next post will be someone with a link to the conversion bellhousing you need, I have a foggy memory about seeing one of those so I bet they do exist.
