That is looking great! Can't wait to see how it does.

If you are truly planning to beat on this car with road racing I would suggest installing some upgraded rod bolts if you haven't already. The people that campaign LS1's in F-bodies and C5 Vettes found the factory bolt to be a weak link. Also a quality harmonic balancer is a good idea if you plan to spin the **** out of this engine.

Lastly when I race I run 7 quarts in the pan. Even with your Accusump I would run 7 quarts in a stock F-body pan.

I assume you are familiar with MA SHAW BMW lightweight parts?

We fired it up last night, it sounds soooo good. I'm really impressed with the Spintech muffler as I was afraid it would be a lot louder. Hopefully it'll be on the dyno by the end of the week for final tuning.

As promised, here are more pictures. The car has been an absolute blast to track. Right now the car is still a lot faster than the driver, but I'm gaining on it

Jcarp, do you have any videos of this thing on the dyno, im from Australia and about to attempt this conversion as there is only a hand full if that, that have done it.... any E36 LS1 videos would be much appreciated...

Also did you need to change the tail shaft? the main centre drive shaft? or did you retain the OEM one?

It required a custom drive shaft. Unfortunately I totaled the car at the track last week. It appears that the drivetrain all survived unscathed and once it is pulled out I'll be selling everything.

I'll keep everyone posted on hat's available when we get the car apart.

I don't know what the future holds. I have a wife and two kids that are not very happy about my driving passion right now, so I'll be taking a little break before starting a new project.

It wasn't a drag car, so no. I did get three full track days in it and had in not been for the untimely demise of an engine up ahead and my high speed encounter with the resulting oil slick I'd be back out next week.

The important thing is all my safety gear worked as it was suppose to and I walked away unscathed despite doing and end over end and barrel roll.

Default Crashes suck!

I do my share of HPDE's, not into the racing scene, don't have the time or money. I would be interested if you wanted to sell the car as a whole? Depending on you location I could pick it up on my trailer...I have been looking into an e36 conversion, and this would be a step (or some parts) in the right direction.
