Are you mounting the shocks to the Ford 8.8 shock pick up points or are you going to install a crossbar and bolt them to the 4-link pickups welded to the rear end housing? I am getting ready to do the same thing to my FC in a couple of months. I don't see the rear framerails that are common with 4-link type setups.

The crossbar mounts to the frame on both sides of the car and braces across where it touches the floor boards.

Everything looks awesome!!!
That car should be a hand full when you get it finished.

BTW I got the t56 that I bought from you installed this weekend.
We also got the engine fired. The cam you sold me sounds awesome.
Everything seems to be fine in good shape.
Thanks again and good luck with the car.

I am a local for cordova, the motor is new for this year and should be in the 500's at the rear wheel (providing everything works out) and then I plan a 300 shot on top of it.

We built our own for the engine mounting.

Sweet!

Should be a little easier to get down that track with that back there.

Kinda cool that you were able to use a stock width stang rear.

For future projects you may want to look at an Explorer rear. They're relatively close to the same width and come with disc brakes & 3.73's.

That looks damn mean. I live close to Cedar Rapids, so I will have to look you up to check it out in person when it's all done.

Are you going to drive it on the street much, or at all?

I plan to drive it on the street as much as possible but first must have it inspected as the car is in a salvage title state right now. I bought it wrecked and we fixed it all up.
I plan to have it done this summer and will drop you a pm when It hits the streets.
Thanks
Elec

Do you know if the explorer rear is wider or narower? Thanks for the info.
