Default t 56 conversion (ls1 t56 behind sbc) ?

Whats needed or are there any tricks to put a ls1 t56 behind a sbc? Can i use the ls1 bellhousing, clutch, ect? thanks

I've been told i need another input shaft, but i still don't know anything about the bell housing, clutch?? I found the proper flywheel from fidanza.

no tricks, use an LT1 T56

You have to get a different bell housing to adapt SBC to LS1. Do you have a auto now?

I called lakewood today and they do not have anything avaliable.

Front plate, input shaft, & bellhousing.

McLeod may also be able to adpapt the trans. with their modular bellhousing.

ATS also make a simple spacer that goes between the block and the LS1 bellhousing that will make everything bolt up easily. They are listed on the right as a sponsor.

no offense but you could probably sell the LS1 trans for more than it would take to buy a good LT1 T56, but yeah, im not sure what needs to be changed, i know the bolt patterens are diffrent

I have an lt1 t56 and now need an ls1 t56.... great shape and includes shifter and clutch fork, perhaps we can work something out.
