Post Installed Fast 90 and Ls2 TB today...

Installed a Fast 90 and Ls2 90mm TB today. First impressions: It pulls harder from 5000 up for sure and seems to want to carry all the way to redline. I did however notice I have to push the pedal to the floor further to get the same part throttle power that I got with the Ls6 intake and 75mm throttle body....Anyone else notice this? Low end torque at WOT seems the same, its the part throttle driving that seems to have changed?

Its a tad bit annoying, but Im going to have to retune the car yet again anyway, becuase Im sure this mod threw off my VE table and MAF again.

Just a quick 30 min drive and log. Im going to have to retune the VE table then see where Im at with the MAF. It seems all the LTFT have went higher which I guess makes sense with more airflow. It is definitely running richer WOT. Not sure why the part throttle driving seems less responsive I guess that is the tradeoff with the larger Fast plenum and 90mm throttle body. Has anyone else noticed this? It need more timing than the Ls6 part throttle not sure....???

This is part of my total heads cam install just done a couple months later...There is the internal content...orangepeel.

Large single TB's are re-known for poor part throttle response. Twin or quad TB blades (same area) would improve response. Also I guess the FAST may be a slight hinderance in this instance. Hope a tune sorts it out for you though.

A couple of things for you to look in to:

-Did you remember to reset the LTFTs after the install (still using old trends)?

-Have you adjusted your ETC Scaler values yet?

-I would go ahead (you probably are) and true-up the VE table in SD mode...

-How are you handling the MAF... are you going to recalibrate after SD tuning the VE??

I am getting mine Friday, will be keeping an eye on your progress...

Yep I plan on doing all those things eventually. Be prepared for some loss of response at part throttle... I found out it is the tradeoff because of a 30% larger throttle body. Oh well, I can live with it depending on how much power it adds at WOT.

Also there is no connection on the Ls2 TB to connect the valvecover breather hose from the passenger valvecover...??? Still wondering about that issue.

I knew about the front passenger valvecover breather, most just put a small filter there. I believe you can get some of that throttle reponse back, probably not all. I am not sure if the ETC Scaler would have an impact on that...
